School and nursery trips
The Obere Klus Farm is located at 444 meters above sea level in Pfeffingen, Basel-Landschaft. Our farm and its animals are ideal for school and kindergarten field trips. The farm is beautifully situated amid idyllic pastures and hills. We’re close to the city and easy to reach. The “Kluser Llamas” and the farm’s other animals, along with the cozy and practical facilities, make Obere Klus the perfect destination for unique class field trips and school lessons.
Animals and the facilities provide the ideal setting for engaging classroom lessons on site centered around the theme of ‘llamas’. Through interacting with these gentle and calm animals, pupils can experience and develop, for example, social skills, self-esteem and empathy, as well as a respect for life, whilst working in a group.

A proven program for school classes
- Arrival at Hof at approximately 9:30 a.m.
- Snack Break
- Program starts at approximately 10:00 a.m.
- Farm tour with various facts about the farm and the animals
- Meeting the llamas, followed by a walk
- Program ends at approximately 12:00 p.m.
The class may stay in the courtyard for the picnic at noon. - Departure from Hof no later than approximately 1:30 p.m.
Cost: CHF 250 for a 2-hour guided program
Applies to 1 school class of approximately 20 children. Larger groups by request
Rental of facilities for lunch on the farm: CHF 35.00
Gas grill rental: CHF 25.00
Note:
Children up to 9 years old must be accompanied by one adult per llama.
The animals are led in pairs. Depending on the class size, there will be 3–4 children per llama.
